I have been using my LNL Ap with no major problems for a few months and have loaded a few thousand pistol rounds using the pistol rotor and insert in the measure. Today I decided to try my hand at .223 and changed over the measure to the rifle drum and insert.

The problem I am running in to is that I can't for the life of me get this to throw a charge less than around 50 grains. I am shooting for 24 grains of Varget but I run out of adjustment. I have the insert screwed all the way in and it is still throwing a huge charge. Also, I have the linkage adjusted properly so the rotor runs a full stroke. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Here's what it looks like.

D*** It! That is totally right! I feel like a moron. I shouldn't do this stuff late in the evening. I'll mess with it tomorrow and see what I come up with.

Yessir, you have the insert installed up-side down. The knurled end goes on the outside.

It's something that's a bit odd when you're used to working with the tiny end of the pistol metering assembly, and I installed mine the wrong way (didn't use it though and caught it) even after cleaning my measure along with the video.

Thank you all very much for pointing this out to me! I can always count on THR!

Have a great weekend!

I just wish I could take such good, clear pics...........:)

When you get the plunger turned around in the rifle rotor, the LNL AP turns out some great, quick 223 ammo. It was my first and only progressive too. It's a great buy.

I had a similar problem with mine once. Had the meter installed incorrectly and it threw the same charge no matter how I adjusted it. Last night I learned to always remove the measure by the body and not the clear drum. That mistake cost 1/4 lb of Varget. Besides those, I really like my LNL.
