I HAD to buy two more bp guns this last week... I don't shoot the ones I have much as it is and the last time I added to the herd was a few years back when I grabbed a like new/new t/c .50 renegade for 180.00 I LOVE my first one and it could happily do whatver I need a caplock to dobut thought a spare would be good if I lost or hurt or wore the first out :)

but I saw a guy sellin a t/c hawken in .50 this week for 125 a few towns away... talked him into shippin and for 140 I have it en route.... if its hlfway clean I am in good shape I think... been wantin to replace the first one I owned but let go forty years back....

Then I saw a guy offer a "uberti" in a trade toward a modern revolver to another guy.. the guy passed so I messaged him and talked a bit. I seem to have an uberti 1858 in .36 headin here as soon as the m.o gets there and he can ship...

seems like I will be bringin the ole smokepoles out to play at the range again ... I hate the wait but sometimes the deal dictates that - and the excitement of not really knowing how good or bad they actually are is fun too :uhoh:

Wow- the guy I got the t/c from shipped last night at 4:15 and it was on my doorstep by noon this a.m might have been sooner but I was not here.. pretty good service- and gas would have cost 2-3 times the shipping :)

The hawken has a few spots on her but will clean up well I believe and the barrel seems fine. I am excited!

I have one of the peeps that T/C gave if you bought a renegade or hawken many years ago on my renegade... They are great sights!

I know what you are going through, I started with a 54cal Investarms kit from Cabelas as a Xmas present and now have 4 Hawkins style guns and growing, including 2 T/C's. I just can't let a great deal get away. My total investment is under $500 for all, one is a flinter and they are all proven shooters.:D

I have the same problem with Inlines. I know what they're worth and a cant let a good deal walk.

I know I can sell them and be OK but have no desire to do so.
