Because for what I paid I pretty much stole it. Budsgunshop.com had a used Beretta silver pigeon S 12 ga 28" barrel for 1300 shipped last Thursday morning. I did have to break down and pay for their VIP service for 25 bucks but for a gun like this I couldn't resist.

Got to my ffl in 2 days as usual. It is in EXCELLENT condition. It came with the original case, paper work and 5 chokes. Super tight lock up. Wood looks factory new. Bore was super clean. From what I can tell it was someones safe queen. And it shoots like a dream. Once I warmed up I was scoring 21 out of 25 shooting skeet my first time out with her.











that line next to the latch is an imperfection in the wood grain, not a scratch

The price you paid is about average. The gun looks to be in great shape, so you did fine, but you didn't get a screaming deal...

Congrats! I got a used Silver Pigeon I for a similar price and gave it to my son for high school graduation. I threatened to kick his butt if he ever sold it before I leave this earth. At least by then I hope he will appreciate the value of it and cherish it. He shoots trap and skeet with it. We need to disable the autmatic safety for it.
