You guys are all....

holier-than-thou.gif

For some reason that picture makes me crack up, I haven't the slightest clue why.

Back to the original topic, the guy in the video is just absolutely horrific with his gun safety and knowledge of firearms. I wouldn't accuse anyone here of a "holier than thou" attitude. Everyone here has tons more experience than him, it's no shocker.

There's a huge distinction between "holier than thou" and "more experienced than thou". Believe it or not, there are people who know nothing they did not learn on the internet. So I'm sure plenty of folks would look to YouTube for guidance. Unfortunately, there is no qualification process before you upload a video. So any idiot can post a video on how to do virtually anything. There are lots and lots of idiots and wannabes posting videos on YouTube. This is undeniable fact. It is not elitist to point out that fact. Anymore than it is to say that Hickok45 and duelist1954 tend to know what they're talking about.

Exactly Craig C.

He's obviously got no idea how his "1858 Colt Remington" works, everyone is just pointing it out. Of course there are some comments that do fall into the "holier than thou" category, but not all.

Holier than thou would be something like "that guy's experience with guns is extremely lacking, but mine is much better than his." or "My teenage son who plays video games knows his way around guns better than him."

Just pointing that out.

The guy could have Alzheimer's disease (AD) yet some folks are calling him disparaging names. Name calling doesn't seem like the right way to refer to someone who could have a serious disease. Is that how folks would refer to a relative or friend who displays AD symptoms, or dementia due to old age?
