I think I need more magnification.

While shopping for spotting scopes, here's an item to consider: Cell Phone adapters

A comparative listing: https://www.gigoptix.com/best-spotting-scope-phone-adapters/

That Gosky, at $20, is hard to beat. And, it will let you use either portrait or landscape.

Being able to play back hits can be very illuminating. And, the phone screen can be easier to see without breaking position, which is a definite plus.

I really like the one I've got, way easier to use. I need to remember a cloth to drape over it tho, mines cheap and doesn't block any light.

If you are going to shoot a fair amount at 200+ yards at small targets, you'll welcome a really good scope. An inexpensive 3-9X on a squirrel rimfire is fine and will get the job done. But, we are talking the difference between a few shots at squirrels under 50 yards and 100s of shots 100-400 yards with hours of looking through a scope....BIG difference. However.........the quality of optics these days is amazing and shopping around is still wise.

I always get at least a little glare with mine, draping a cloth over it had never occurred to me. Genius!

Are you guys talking about shooting or ugly women. Please let me know cuz I can’t concentrate, my mind keeps going back and forth trying to figure it out.

Guns, women, dogs, cars....all pretty analogous....cept dogs only usually get to crap on you once......I keed, I keed ......don't tell my wife....

Off color jokes aside, there are a few nicer phone-scope mounts that have a casing and better adjustments than what I've got. Maybe worth the cost, especially if you have a more common phone like a iphone, or Galaxy, which are better supported.

My Celestron NexYZ certainly has plenty of adjustment, I'd definitely recommend it if someone was looking and didn't want to break the bank. Its a bit in the heavy side, but haven't encountered major issues with that using it.

I like the idea and implementation of PhoneSkope, I just hate the idea of having to buy a new case every time I get a new phone especially considering how rarely I use it. I do recommend the PhoneSkope app for digiscoping though, pretty handy and easier to use for the purpose than built in camera apps IMO.

The least expensive scopes I have looked through that allow one to see small holes at hundreds of yards were the weaver T series.
