I thought this A5 might be worth a gamble.

50's light 12. Picked it up after winning the auction for $230 shipped. It was a satin brown color when I got it however my hunch from blowing up the pics paid off and the rust was a very fine thin even layer with a lot of blue left unde r it. Polishing with Plastx and then Hoppes on soft cotton for a c ouple hours cleaned the rust off. The gun is an aged satin silver/grey but not bad. This is my 2nd A5, the first is a 1925-26 16g. 20180130_103834.jpg

Don't know yet, it will likely be a while till I can get out to my folk's farm and test it. But the interior was unrusted, so I am optimistic. I had a set of stripped internals at the ready, but all it seemed to need was one screw. It cycles dummy shells just fine. I do like the quick-load feature, it's nice after getting used to the original design.

For that money you've done very well my friend. Let us know how it does when you have a chance to run some shells through it.
