I took my P938 to the 100 yards line
About a week ago I reported on my first test of my new Sig Sauer P938. That time I tested it at the distances of 7 and 25 meters. A few days later I tried a few shots at a target at 50 meters. The results made me feel rather positive. So, out of curiosity, I took the little handgun to the 100 yards line. As the previous time I used two of my handloads (124 grs EP RN bullets over 4.0 grs of Vihtavouri N320 and 135 grs PC RN bullets over 3.4 grs of VN 320, both types with CCI 500, mix brass, COL 1.16´´) and I also took Winchester 124 grs FMJ ammo along.
I shot standing, using the two hands hold.
The 100 yards test proved that the mechanical accuracy of the little pistol is very sound. Shortly, I can place at least one out of five shots on a standard PSA torso target. One hit was the worst result. The best result was 5 shots that fitted into a 6.5´´ by 7.78´´box. That was the Winchester ammo.
The first cardboard is 33´´ by 45´´ and the white marker on it is a standard paper sheet (A4), the second marker one is a paper sheet folded into a half size (A5).
IMHO, when shooting at a target at this distance the main limit of the P938 is the sights. The next one would be the quality of ammo.
