Mushy, I know.... But I've been researching shotguns recently which has brought me across threads in other forums and folks get down right nasty to one another.

I know we have our differences of opinions, and a sarcastic comment now and again... But its always seems to keep a fairly even keel.

You do have to remember most all internet forums need for you to have a strong backbone+let most things roll off..

Agreed! Great group of enthusiasts here.

There are VERY few sites that I frequent, but this one keeps up as one of the most frequented.

A lot of information here, spiced with various opinions. Sometimes you may not like a particular flavor, but at least it's always edible.

I too have been a member here for many years. Good folks, lots of interesting information and, for the most part, we play well together.
And a big Thanks to the Moderators as well. Nobody always likes the "Hall Monitors" but they do a good job of keeping us in line and on track.

I quit two other gun sites because of gratuitous language and crude/unnecessary sexual comments.

Agree. THR is the gun forum where I've learned the most. Many members here have vast experience in their area of shooting. No where else can I mingle with experienced shooters like I find here.

I am a member of 3 gun boards, including this one. I don't post on the Savage owners board since I am not building a Savage rifle anymore, lost interest. On the other board I asked a question that got one response by a mod and locked. It was "Hey stupid, use the search feature." I asked the exact same question here and got 3 pages worth of helpful information.

I posted questions about my 'new' winny 94 on a Winchester collector site. Mainly about safe ammo in the old girl. Didn't get a single response in about two weeks. Meanwhile, I posted here and got several answers almost immediately.
The volume of "traffic" here on the high road is one of the primary reasons I'm here...

Exactly the same as me. That combined with punching in "shotgunning tips" which lead me to some excellent posts by Dave McCracken. I've spoken to rc and he was a real nice guy. Never to Dave but Im sure he was too. Rest in peace to two really knowledgeable guys.

We can disagree without being disagreeable.

And

We're each of us representatives to the rest of the world that may not exactly share our interest in firearms and RKBA so it is in our best interest to show them we're the responsible good neighbor gunowners have always been.
