I was going to save costs by sharing one bolt between a Match 20 inch barrel upper and a carbine 16 inch barrel upper.
Then I read "The Wonderful AR15 Land of confusion or heaven on earth?" Part II http://www.snipercountry.com/Articles/AR15_part2.asp It said that the bolt will no longer head space correctly when switched to a different AR.

So is this true?

Is it a safety issue?
