Ian McCollum's latest book, Small Arms of WWII: Soviet Union just opened for preorder today.$108 with delivery forecasted for September. As you may recall, this is the follow on to Small Arms of WWII: United States.

I'm a little torn on this one. I want to support his work, but I have zero interest in guns of the USSR. On the other hand, he does good work, and this is book two in a set of who knows how many will come out. I'm certain there will be $108 worth of value there-I'm just not certain I want the whole set. I already have his Chassepot to FAMAS book, and I would probably buy his French WWII book, if he produces one.

Anyway, here is the link to the YT video announcement.

He has at least a few gun shows on Amazon Prime also.
There are probably six total, but must be found with the "Find" (in the far left column) while streaming, and the titles are scattered around on the page which appears with various related subjects:

"Guns of WW2"
"Guns of Modern Germany"
"Guns of the Enfield Armory". I'm too lazy to search and find all of them.
Git off yer' butt and look for yourself. :feet: Or don't.

I went looking and there's probably at least 30 of them but none are free. For the price I'd be better off subscribing to Ian streaming service he launched a few months ago with other YouTubers. Like $10 a month

I think that's pretty much the future of things, anyway. I was opposed to youtubers earning money from content for a long time, but I kind of get it, now. Youtube and these private streaming services have, in a way, democratized entertainment-except that you have to have money to vote. But our direct support allows that content to exist. Broadcast media is never going to allow that on their networks.

(Even with that, I find streaming services to be just like cable or broadcast tv in that, out of everything that is available, there is "nothing to watch.")

I'm actually more interested in this title than the preceding one on US arms, since there's already Bruce Canfield's excellent book on that subject.

Maxim Popenker included some interesting coverage on Soviet smallarms design competitions in his English language books, particularly his 2005 Assault Rifle.

If you read, German there's Karl Wrobel's 2-volume Drei Linien on the history of the Mosin-Nagant rifle.

And there's the two Vickers Guides on the AK. That leaves quite a few gaps that I'm hoping this new book will help fill.

I'm no more of a fan of the USSR than Nazi Germany, the PRC or Imperial Japan, but they all produced their share of interesting firearm designs

Concur 100%
My problem is that he mentioned having slip covers for the first book available. And I also know that if I go to headstamp publishing's web page, it's as dangerous to my finances as opening a Blade Ops sale page . . .
