I'm looking for info about the Idaho enhanced concealed carry permit. What is required, what is taught and how it compares to the standard carry permit. There's a class on January 17 and I'm probably going to sign up.
Thanks, Jeff
Thanks, Jeff
As I understand it, it allows reciprocity with five additional states (Nevada, New Mexico, South Carolina, Virginia, Washington) that don't recognize the standard CCW. Not a big deal perhaps if you don't travel to those states, but a very big deal for those who do.Enhanced does what, for the carrier?
Actually imho the real purpose is it is a way for the State of Idaho is get more revenue for conceal carry applicants as the enhanced permit is only required by five states.
I wonder why WA is on the list of states that will only recognize the enhanced license. We don't have any training requirement here, pretty much just need a pulse and ~$60 to get a CPL.As I understand it, it allows reciprocity with five additional states (Nevada, New Mexico, South Carolina, Virginia, Washington) that don't recognize the standard CCW. Yes. 21.Do you have to be 21 to get an Idaho enhanced concealed carry permit?
Remember your CCW class is the beginning of your training.
