Thanks for posting the pics. I had not seen that mod and will definitely do it to my 1911s.

This is much more than just simple use of a firearm.Such a shame when people actually use their guns! The horror!

These are guns looked like they have been abused by people who didn't give a crap about their firearms.. lol
I am referring to guns that I have seen locally, not your own gun.More like a firearm that is well used. Abuse would be trying to ruin it. It looks to me like it was used as a truck gun without a holster which in my opinion is fine as long as it's not chambered. My carry gun has some holster wear and has some scratches on the slide and polymer frame. Is that abuse too?
This wasn't normal wear and tear. These guns looked like they had been taken apart with a ball peen hammer. Or their finishes had been gouged with a screwdriver. And then they were being resold to people who didn't know the difference between normal wear and tear, and downright owner stupidity..
Thought you had to be 21 to carry in your state?More like a firearm that is well used. Abuse would be trying to ruin it. Apologies, I thought you were referring to concealed carry.18 is the age here.

Right on. In my state anyone over 21 who is not a felon may carry a weapon in their vehicle under peaceable transport without concealed carry permit. Therefore, I have my truck guns that I carry, but I do not conceal exclusively on my person even though I'm permitted. Other than maybe East St Louis, I don't go anywhere that I feel unsafe or threatened. Soooooo...my pistols stay relatively unscathed, but they do get used. Trust me, they get used!I open carry at the moment, although at the moment I would have to go through court to get my permit because of the chief being unchallenged and making his own rules, I can get a Pistol Permit (NH CCW).
Looks like someone kicked it spinning down an asphalt street.
I'm confused. Doesn't the slide stop on a 1911 just push straight in and out?
Both of mine have.
