So I shot an IDPA match today with my PSA Dagger. It's only the second time I've shot this gun. It's got a Ceylee Wolf 0 mini red dot sight on it. I ran it using exclusively KCI Glock 19 mags. It's a real budget friendly gun all around.

It was my first match using a red dot, and I haven't really practiced drawing and getting a sight picture with it. But I found that the dot was easier, quicker, and more precise. Any doubts I had about handguns with red dots are now gone.

I had one malfunction on the first stage, but I honestly don't remember what kind of malfunction it was, and I cleared it quickly.

I shot pretty well, I was only 14 down for the whole match. But I still placed low because of my lack of speed. But that'll come in time.

The red dot performed well, and stayed tight and zeroed. I recommend the Ceylee Wolf 0 as a budget red dot sight. It's got shake awake, and an RMR footprint.

Anyway, the PSA Dagger is good to go. I think it'll be my dedicated competition gun. It's cheap and just works.

I have an early Dagger that does not have an optic cut. I like it fine. It works. I had thought about getting an optic cut slide & optic so I could play with it (I've never had a handgun with an optic). The thing is gun money is limited & there seems to be always something else I want more.

I'm with you there!

I swapped my Dagger trigger for a Glock oem trigger. It worked great.
I was going to, but the donor gun was a 1-pin Gen 2 G19 and the front trunion was different. The Gen2 upper fit the Dagger frame fine, however.
Ill live with the PSA trigger, it's not horrible. One thing I like about it, compared to, say- an early M&P, is that even if the pin failed and the lower half fell off, there is still enough lever remaining to continue firing the gun in an emergency.

If the Dagger is a close/true copy to the Glocks, if you jiggle the slide stop as you put pressure on the trigger pin, the pin will pop right out with little pressure. The spring on the slide stop helps hold the pin and what you're fighting when it doesn't want to go.

I actually kind of like the trigger on my Dagger. I just think of it as a typical striker fired trigger. I have owned a M&P 2. 0 longer than I have the Dagger though so maybe I'm just used to a hinged trigger.
