Hey Doc. why are you always picking on me?for those mavericks who are extremely hard headed and did not answer the question
By your own admission, you have no clue how practical any type of mechanical burst mechanism is. I mean no offense in this, just making a casual observation.
I've been lucky enough to shoot a full-auto Thompson twice. Both times I found it very easy to fire pairs, three-round bursts, and single shots.
Because if I truly could get anything I wanted, both of the guns I'd want most (apart from an MG 42) would have the feature:
1) A real HK UMP (45 ACP)
2) "Abakan" AN-94 (5.45x39
MTM, you have a point. It is pretty hard to expose armor without expose unarmored portions. If the head isn't exposed, then the goblin isn't aiming. If the goblin isn't aiming, then he doesn't present much of a threat.
Option C) The goblin, having not exposed his head, does not see MTM move to a different position. As goblin comprehends the silence, he gazes around corner, but is surpised when nothing happens. MTM then draws bead on back of globlin's head from flanking position and fires single round...
Option D) MTM simply aims for pelvis/hip/genitals
Option E) [active shooter, non-military] Again, without head exposed, goblin is unable to both lay down accurate and effective fire, or keep track of enemy movement. MTM withdraws to safe area and makes a sandwhich while cops deal with goblin by heavily outnumbering him and flanking him.
As you can see, I had plenty of options.
I would like to see, however, a guy expose his armored body without exposing his unarmored head. That seems like it would be tricky, so kudos to fictional armored goblin for accomplishing it.
