Just a PCC would satisfy me (I already have an AR-type and an AK-type.) A Marlin Camp 9 would be nice.
The only gun left on my list is a semi auto pcc. Preferably 40 S&W and accept M&P mags. This post is not political
Theoretically, let's imagine an outrageous scenario where a firearm's ban is going to happen. In this totally fictitious scenario, you have a bunch of gun grabbers who got into power that are banning all sorts of stuff (although it isn't clear specifically what).
What would be the rifle / Pistol Caliber Carbine / firearm that you would want to buy?
...or would you maybe just buy more ammo
Why would I buy anything if I don't know what I'm going to be able to keep? This post is not political

The bump stock ban showed that the government was willing, if the mood struck them, to ban the possession of something without grandfathering or compensation. You'd be far better off working the politicos to avoid a ban than trying to outfox it via prior possession.Lots of people are spurred to do the opposite and buy everything so they have what doesn’t get banned.

Gun wise I wish I picked up a Saiga 12ga semi auto or 2.
A Dragunov sniper rifle would look REALLY good in my safe!!
A Springfield Armory SAINT Victor .308.
... because things are gonna go bad.
GR
A 50 cal sniper rifle with lots of ammo.
A twelve pound, polished bronze cannon.
And at least a hundred balls, some grape shot and a few chain shot, for tree trimming.
A ship’s carriage for it, and all the accoutrements for care and firing.
As well as ten to twelve thousand pounds of powder, or at least a nicer ball mill setup than I had and a few sacks of KNO3 and pure sulfur, I can make the charcoal myself.(And its fun to do!)
A land cart may be useful too, but I imagine most of it’s time to be spent on the porch, pointed at the driveway, looking intimidating.
With a sign that says, “No Solicitors.”
Could be filled with glitter for birthdays...

I don't have any plans on buying one though.
I already bought it. Then it fell off the boat.

I think this is the reasoning behind all the shortages we have now.
I know the premise of this thread is geared toward semi-auto as they are number 1 on the anti's hit list but there is another treacherous thing they want to do which is end online sales which would mean all the antique, surplus, old, rare, discontinued, lever, bolt , handguns, shotguns ect...would be a lot harder to find if not next to impossible in some cases. For example if you are looking for a limited made Miroku made Winchester 1886 or a nice Chilean 1891 Mauser fat chance finding one in your local gun store and slim chance finding one at a gun show. Online has allowed to find such gems.
I don't know if they can ban online sales or if it would stand, but as one who likes old guns as much as new guns, without the internet and the likes of gun broker and such it would be a depressing situation.
Any gun laws are unacceptableAny more gun laws are unacceptable. Period.

There’s really only 1 that has called to me. 10mm carbine, preferably not blowback but that seems to be the game in town. An AR makes the most sense but I just don’t care for them. Hi point is ugly as sin and I would be ashamed to show it off. The TNW aero “pistol” seems to be really close to what I want and I have been really close to buying one, the carbine version isn’t as nice. What I really want is a Kriss Vector.
