Those of who have have experience with the pm9, tell me how it works as a pocket gun (front pocket). Is it too big and heavy, or do you find it to work well as a pocket gun? The KelTec p3at is what I use now, but I would like to step up to 9mm. Is the pm9 comfortable to carry all day long in a front pants pocket, or does it seem like a brick after awhile?

I carry mine all the time in the left front pocket in a Desantis Nemesis pocket holster.

I carry in dress slacks, dockers, jeans, shorts, etc., all without problem. Not too heavy, not too bulky.

I've got a Keltec 3AT and a PM9. I got the 3AT first and carried it in a Nemesis in the front pocket and loved it. Then I thought I needed more firepower so I got a PM9 and a Nemesis and tried to do the same thing. It didn't work for me so well.

I love my PM9, don't get me wrong, but for me it is better as an inside the waistband gun. Maybe the 3AT's light weight and size spoiled me, I don't know. The PM9 can be front pocket carried, but the weight is a little more than I like, and in some pants the bulge is more than I like. It does *okay* in big pocket cargo-type shorts or pants, but in dockers or jeans I much prefer the 3AT.

For pocket carry there is nothing as easily carried as the 3AT, so the PM9 you will notice more. It may work for you, but it will depend on your pockets/pants and your sensitivity for weight in your pocket.

I now carry my PM9 in a Highnoon Hidden Ally IWB when I want more power, but generally, just slip the KelTec in my pocket and the PM9 stays at home or in the truck.

Its all about the pants.

In slacks and khakis its fine. In some jeans its ok others its not. The weight isn't a real problem for me but I wear a gun belt at all times even if I don't have a gun on me.

Ditto exactly what Lone Star says, except with myself, it's a p-32 Keltec with the PM-9... Kahr: inside waistband, Keltec: front pocket... For Me!

Use a kdholsters Defender and front pocket carry with mine - works great in Dockers/khakis. Prints just like a wallet and weight is no issue at all though obviously not as light as a P3AT. I'm a big guy so works fine in jeans too for me. If you are a stick thin guy who wears spray-on jeans it may be a little obtrusive.

I'm 5" 11" and weigh 170 lbs. For me the PM9 is a little heavy in the pants. My preference is flat front pockets so there is less material for covering something in the pocket. If you are into loose fitting clothes, it is more concealable!

Went and looked at some little Kahrs today...

Looked at a gaggle of Kahrs at a local store today, and decided the PM9 is still just too heavy and big for in the pants pocket carry. I'll stick with my p3at.

I have a kahr mk9 in my pocket now I dont find it to heave I'm sure the pm9 would be even less so.

I’ve discovered that with a proper belt and the right pants, even an all-steel K9 can be comfortably carried in a pocket.

wearing shorts right now

with a PM-9 in my pocket in a DeSantis Nemesis.
Since I got my PM9 the 340PD spends most of it's time in the safe...

Ditto on the Nemesis in the front pocket.

I had a Kel-Tec P32. Absolutely the most concealable pistol around. It just disappears in your pocket. The problem I had with it were the almost non existent sights. I realize it's a close up weapon, but I couldn't hit anything with it. I carry the PM9 in all front pockets of all pants. No problem. I don't wear anything tight though, even blue jeans. Plus it's an accurate little rascal for its size.
