If you were limited to two bullet types, what would they be?

As I was going through my bullet molds, I started thinking about if I were to start streamlining my mold collection what designs would I keep. For me, I would keep my round nose and round nose flat point molds, which I think would cover anything that I reload for. How about you?
For handguns Lead SWC. Cant be beat!

I have too many different guns for 2 mold designs. SWC and RNFP could do in a pinch.
SWC covers 90% of my needs.
I bounce from SWC, RNFP, and spire point in rifle.

WCs, SWCs, TrFP for pistols …….just can’t do two.

HP, Plastic Tip, SP for rifles……again….just can’t do two

If you mean casting and pistols only……..WC, SWC, TrFP……..but I repeat myself.

Lubed cast lead, I just found a 20 year supply of bullet lube in the garage (I am 74), and jacketed bullets, mostly for rifles. 45-70 Quigley clone will be sold with 50# of cast lead bullets ready to load.

When I really got serious about handgun hunting back in the early 80's I would purchase bulk Remington or Winchester JHP's. They were cheap and plenty accurate enough for lots of practice and did a good job on the first deer and hogs I used them on. When the Gold Dot and XTP came out I worked up hunting loads for them but kept a good reserve of the others for practice and back up.

When I started casting, it was the Lee 452-300 RF for a 454 Casull. Once I got into it, it was Katy bar tha door. I heard through the industry grapevine that Rem and Win were suspending their component sales I picked up a decent supply of my go to bullets in a couple calibers. About then is when I found MP molds and his 640 designs are about as close to the Rem hollow point as I could find and the SWC were modeled off of authentic Elmer Kieth molds. Using one of those you usually get the added options of at least 2 types of bullet, either a FP or a F-HP. So that is where I went next. It took nearly a year of blending alloy to get the HP's to work with every caliber, but it paid off.

So for handgun I would have to say either RNFP or RNFP-HP, I just prefer the added nose on these. For rifle or rifle caliber handgun it would have to be one or the other of the Ranch Dog designed FP's. Cast with the same alloy I use for my magnum HP's they expand quit closely to a Core Lokt or similar, and using the solids alloy they will go from snooter to pooter on a 300# hog.
