if you were only allowed 1 rifle and 1 pistol what would they be?

Most important:It would be way past time for another tea party,to answer your question,an AR10 or FN FAL & a 1911.

It'd be one of my ruger 357s, and my rem 700 in 30-06.

TEOTWAWKI is different, it'd be one of my win 94's in 357 instead of the '06. Pure logistical decision.

Two functional pieces

If I had to keep just two, it would be my 32 hammerless Smith & Wesson (Lemon squeezer), because it has a holster built into a pair of my suspenders, and my 1949 Model 94 Winchester. If I had to keep 2 vehicles, I would keep my 35 Ford, and the 26 Buick. If I had to keep 2 horses, it would be Sweetie and Nelly. Whew... better stop. I could keep this up for hours. LBD

one of my .45 Colt single-actions (probably USFA), and my .32-20 lever-action.....well, YOU asked......

I'd go with a Browning 30-06 A-bolt in stainless, with a Leupold 3-9x scope, and a Ruger GP-100 357 wheelie.:D

My M4 and either a P228 or a 92FS.

Because, let's face it, if I am only allowed to have ONE gun, there is a fight brewing.

My answer on this changes daily.

The handgun is always a CZ75BD and the rifle changes. Today I am gonna go with an AR15 just because I can put a lot of different uppers on it.

Accurate bolt rifle in .30-06 or if obtaining ammo a problem, accurate semi auto in military caliber.

Much as I love the 1911 in .45 ACP persuasion, I'd rather go with an accurate 6" DA revolver in .357/38. A man's gotta be practical.

If ammo for the sidearm is a problem, an accurate .22 autoloader.

If only one gun allowed, a pump shotgun in 12 gauge with interchangeable barrels --one of which would be a rifled, iron-sighted slug barrel.

In every case, to me, accuracy is paramount.

1911 colt, all steel, single stack mag, commander barrel length.

HK G3 carbine, telescopic buttstock.

I'm assuming this type of law would come after TSHTF. So a .22 pistol; 20 Gauge shotgun would be very versatile choices.

I'd say a 500 in 12-gauge, a rifled barrel for nearing-rifle-accuracy, and a 1911, a trick one, like by Ed Brown.

"Allowed"? Well, if they tried to dissallow my rights in such a fashion... I guess +1 to ilcylic, though I'd maybe also have a Stinger pen-gun or similar as a holdout for my handgun.

Easy.

1. AR lower with multiple uppers in a variety of calibers. If money was no issue, could even have one of those 50 cals in case I need to shoot down a aircraft:what:

2. A 1911 with multiple uppers, 22cal, 9mm, 38 super, 45acp. Does anyone make a 40 cal upper for a 1911:D

Seriously, if we are limited to only 2 guns, we are in deep trouble.
