I'll be darned if I wasn't favorably impressed with the SW99 45ACP

Last night I was doing final research on my tax refund gun when I handled a SW99 in .45ACP. I was favorably impressed with the workmanship and the overall feel of quality of the pistol. The DA pull was nice and the SA was not as nice, and the trigger return was reasonable for a DA/SA. The price wasn't too bad either, just approaching $600.00 OTD. Has anyone had the chance to wring one out?

Yeah, I had a chance to fondle one a couple days ago & I was surprised as well. I'd like to see a range report or 2 about this gun :)

A friend and I both own SW9945s and find them as accurate as HK TACTICALs. Another site of interest where the gun was tested is http://www.gunblast.com/. I have owned about every 1911 , Glock, Sig, HK, and for the money, the SW9945 is a helluva buy and dead on accurate.

One of the current magazines on the shelves did a shoot out between the SW99 and P99. The P99 averaged 2.12 or so inch groups at 25 yards. And the SW99 avg 3.0+ groups and never shot a best group under 2.00 inches.

They said for $15 more, get the Walther.

I would get the Walther for more than that if I had to... but since my wife got one already, I am in no rush.
