She did take a few with it after the first though, did mighty darn good too!

My wife bought me a S&W 686 with 8 3/8" barrel, intergal mount and rings, and fancy wood finger groove grips one Christmas...then on my birthday 2 weeks later, she bought me a matching 629....both limited production, I think..I didn't dare complain.

jef - I love the gun but I haven't shot any other high end target 1911s so I have nothing to compare it to. Heres an example of what it's capable of right out of the box. 25 yds.

Actually, one of those X's is not touching the line, someone gave me an extra X. Naturally the 8 was me not the gun.

It actually looks like I should crank the sights up a notch or two...

pax- There are those out there that might not WANT to see me with a better gun in my hands.
