So.... I've been tumbling about 1,000 rounds of loaded 9MM in small (100/ea) batches.

A friend was given a bunch of factory ammo that has been in a closet/garage etc. for a long long time. They are a bit "fuzzy".

I offered to freshen them up so they would cycle more reliably.

NOTE:

Back on topic....
Picking the rounds out is a pain, so I went to the kitchen in search of something I thought I had seen in the past.

I snatched up a nice stainless strainer spoon. It is deep and has wide slots. PERFECT!

AND JUST WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU ARE GOING WITH THAT YOUNG MAN!?!?!?
(FYI: AARP mails me stuff)

Oh.... Um... I'm just going to use it to scoop some rounds out of the tumbler......

YOU CERTAINLY ARE NOT!!!
PUT IT BACK, NOW!
THAT'S ONE OF MY BEST.... blah, blah, blah.... (I quit listening and headed back to the kitchen)

Moral to the story:
Make sure the less reasonable person in the house is gone or in the bathroom etc. before you acquire a new sifting tool.

Haha

You sir need to readjust your thinking as to the definition of “less reasonable” person.

Apparently, your AARP literature didn’t splain how cognitive function deteriorates with age.

You will make Heloise and Martha proud!
How do you empty it when doing just empty cases?

LOL!!! Reminds me of getting carded at the grocery store to buy some beer. Don’t know if I should be offended or overjoyed… Well, yes I do.

When I go buy beer I ask them if they need to card me. Much to my chagrin they always say "No"

So I used to bartend part time. The older the female the bigger the tip when I carded them LOL.
They make a large strainer thingy to sift dirt you can purchase at hardware stores. The key is have to purchase LOL. Sometimes SWMBO has NO sense of humor.:p

It's easier, and maybe safer, to just hit the dollar store and get your own dedicated slotted spoons, colanders, large bowls, and any other items you need.

^^^^^^^^^ THIS^^^^^^^^^^^

I use a Dillon separator when I'm dry tumbling but before that I used a plastic tub and an old french fry basket. It worked well but I made it a point to do it outside and to stay upwind of any dust. The Kitchen isle at Walmart is your friend!

that is what I did right after I got the "where are you going and what are you planning to do with that"
