Well after a few years of being without a CZ (I know its shameful) I stopped by my local gun shop today and stumbled upon one I just couldn't pass up. The shop wanted $259 for it but with my keen negotiating skills I got them down to $225 and it was mine:D

Cosmetically it has some holster wear but overall its in very good shape and internally very clean with a great bore. I've been wanting a CZ-75 to replace the one I sold a few years ago but my budget won't allow for one right now. At the very least I have a CZ again and eventually down the road I'll pick up a CZ-75 to go with it.

Here are some pics her......

Cz 40b...

Wolfman... In the 1990's CZ and Colt had a 'joint-venture' to produce a 'new 1911 type' .40cal gun... Hence, the CZ 40B (eventually the 'marriage' split) ... not sure of the final number, but about a couple thousand were produced. Alot of CZers own 'em and really like 'em... very accurate and a good .40 shoot.

That's too bad. I really like the looks of those. Looks like a good solid no-nonsense design.

The only reason I don't have a .40 is I have such an abundant stockpile of .45acp and 9mm available and for practicality I buy all my autos in those calibers. I like 9mm Luger and .45acp about the same but for different reasons.

(I might make an exception for one of those though.)

BUT my younger (and formerly employed by the USMC) brother is a .40S&W fanatic after he bought a Beretta 96FS and now .40S&W is all he shoots. He'd LOVE one of those. If they went back into production, I'd get him one for his birthday.

He's already interested in a CZ-75B or CZ-SP-01 in .40 since he shot my 9mm CZ.

First thing he said after shooting it:

"This thing is sweet! Do they make 'em in .40 cal???"

I replied "yep".

:D

I didn't realize there was a story behind this model, very interesting.

Holding it you definitely feel like you are holding a 1911, I really like that. Can't wait to shoot it!

Just curious, do they make hi-cap mags for the 40B?

Congrats man. CZs' are the tits. GZoh is CZ nutz...he's trying to get every make and model and who can blame him. I just got the CZ97BD and it to is the tits. It shoots pretty darn close to my HK USP Compact .45 APC, trigger a bit tigher and not as smooth as the HK. I believe that extensive use (I shoot almost every day) will fix the problem, if not "TRIGGER JOG!"

Great looking CZ 75 there, welcome to the world of CZ addiction...believe me, its not a bad thing but it can get costly. BTW: Get a set of Crimson Trace Laser grips for that bad dog! I have them on both of my CZ 75 and click click bang bang...right where I point!

Happy Shoot, and use her well!

You can also go straight to Mec-Gar and order the 12-round mags. Look for the CZ75 .40 S&W 12-round mags. I'd pass on any other brand.

I picked up my 40B on a GunBroker auction for $225, then add $25 ship and insurance and my FFL fee of $20. Great pistol, scarey accurate, ALL business.

Great deal at the $300 or so they often go for on Gunbroker and CDNN. Much better deal for $250. I've got one on the way myself.
