I'm buying a Taser!

Yes, a gun is much better.
Yes, I can move to a free state and that would be nice.
No, I cant get CCW.
and yes, I do have martial arts training (not much, but some) and I can do all right in a scrap. but I'd prefer to not have to get on the ground.

So.. FOR NOW... I'd like a taser.

any suggesgtions which one to get?

Sorry, I can't recommend a Taser for you.

Get this. I have CCW permit for the whole state of Washington, (permit recognized by many other states), yet where I work, Bellingham, Tasers are illegal. City ordinance. I can carry a gun, concealed, but not a Taser.

So, be glad you can purchase a form of non-lethal self protection for where you live. Look at your local laws though. If you can't get a CCW permit to carry a firearm, then you might not be able to carry a Taser under the same rules.

it's legal. double checked.
i am quite well armed - just cant be off my property.

so a taser is nice. it will cost more than most of my sigs, but oh well.

It's legal to carry concealed? Make sure. Also you need to check the circumstances where it's legal to use the device. It might be the same as for a lethal force weapon and it could be broader. In either case, you need to know.

If the circumstances where the use of a Taser is legally justified in your state, remember the cases where the person Tased has died. You might want to check out what your legal situation would be if that happened.
