I'm giving away my Ruger LC9 with .22 Adapter kit,,,
It's going to a young lady who recently graduated high school and is now attending university.

I've known this girl since she was 3 days old,,,
I carried her around the building I work in to show her off.

I told everyone I bought her from the Gypsies.

I was originally going to give her a matching pair of revolvers,,,
One in .38 Special and the other in .22 LR,,,
3" S&W Model 36 and 4" Model 34,,,
Both round butt and nickle plated.

I was talking about this to her father,,,
Just to make sure that it was still okay with him.

He told me that she was just at her grandfathers farm,,,
He let her shoot his 2" S&W model 36,,,
She didn't like the gun at all.

Bummer!

She did like shooting his small-ish 9mm semi-automatic pistol,,,
My friend thinks it might have been a Ruger like mine.

Anyways, I have a first version LC9 in Lady Lilac color,,,
I bought this pistol on a whim and liked it a lot.

Then I bought the Twisted Industries .22 LR kit,,,
That dang kit runs bulk HV ammo perfectly.

The Pachmayer grip sleeve tamed the 9mm recoil very nicely.

It's not that I don't like this pistol,,,
I like it very much but I have too many guns,,,
This gives me a chance to thin the herd and do a good thing.

I've put together a "kit" for her to keep at her grandfather's farm until she's 21,,,
He's an avid hunter and shooter so she'll get decent training there.

The kit will include:
  • Ruger LC9 with 3 mags
  • .22 LR adapter with 3 mags
  • Bianchi OWB pancake holster
  • Small cleaning kit for .22 & 9mm
  • 100 rounds of 9mm range ammo
  • 50 rounds of hollow point that I know the gun likes
  • 550 round bulk pack of .22 LR that I know the gun likes
  • Range bag with muffs, glasses, and soft gun rug (all purple)
It's a shame she didn't like the revolver at all,,,
That pair of guns had some family history I wanted to pass to her.

I can't imagine she won't be pleased with this outfit,,,
But if she isn't I'll take it back and we'll search my gun cabinet for something else.

That's very generous of you. I hope she takes some professionally taught classes.

I prefer the original LC9 over the LC9s. I think the LC9 would have been a bigger hit without the manual safety, which is unnecessary on a double action hammer fired pistol.

I think it's a great gift.

Just so she doesn't miss out on quite a nice sounding matched pair, perhaps you should show her the revolver set or let her try it? She may like!

Even in my well known collection I'll sometimes have good days or off days on a given platform and think to myself, psssh, I'll sell these off then and go all in on [ ]...then I remember that the time before I was thinking man, I should ONLY have [ ] because it's clearly the most awesome.

Thanks for the kind words gentlemen,,,
I appreciate the thoughts.

Her grandfather is an avid hunter and sport shooter,,,
I think she will get very good training from him.

Now all I need to do is wait for this dang Corona thing to die down,,,
I would hate to pass the bug to her along with the pistol.

Aarond, a very nice gesture and I know how good it feels; I was given a Colt OMM by my B-I-L when I started out. So I've enjoyed gifting guns to my daughter and a couple new shooters too. Paying it forward as they say is simply great.

Well done sir, very well done!

Your most excellent gifts speak loudly as to your generous nature and continuing concern for this young lady's well being!

Keep up the good work!

Man that is awesome what you did. I reminded all the lady's in my that a restraining order is just a piece of paper. A 9mm traveling around 1200 fps says I will not be a victim. I pray if im not around when my daughter gets older and more responsible. That someone like yourself will take her under there wing.

I've got the pack all assembled,,,
I'm just waiting for a safer time to deliver it.

I really want to give it to her at her Grandfathers farm,,,
He has a nice little range set up out there.

But with this Corona thing,,,
We're all in limbo.

Oh, she doesn't know about it yet,,,
But her parents do and they approve of it.
