I'm really thinking about getting a fancy PPK/s

I have had a Walther/Interarms PPK .380 stainless for decades. I carried it for many, many years. No slide bite, I guess my hands are small. No feed issues. I have just used FMJ. No fancy stuff. No problems field stripping and cleaning it. It is a great pocket pistol. I prefer the PPK to the PPK/s, as it is smaller in the pocket. As far as the trigger is concerned, yes, the double action is a heavy one. But I am used to it. Single action is very nice. I love the exposed hammer. When I carried it, I was very glad it was there. It's like an old friend.
It does have a certain charm and legend to it.

I’m another vote for the FEG unless you’re willing to part with cash for the import. No knock of the S&W, which I consider to be another solid working pistol, but my APK MkII has been a dandy for the decade or so I’ve owned it.

The shop owner kept a PPK on hand for protection and encouraged me to save my pennies for the real McCoy but that shiny bluing called to me. I find the weight a bit much for pocket carry, far less so in a pancake or even a cheap summer special. I’m giving Kahr the once over for a third time to fill that niche.

Dug it out of the pistol safe just now to admire.

The only DA/SA auto I'll own is a PPK.

At one time I was looking for a new production blued .380 PPK. I could never find one and gave up.

I used to own a French made PPK/S in .380. It kicked hard but was a nice gun.

I won't even consider anything lower powered than .380 for anything serious.

I had an Interarms model back in the 70's bought it so I could be like James Bond but couldn't afford an Aston Martin DB5.
Liked the pistol but the darn magazines would self eject while firing. :uhoh:
Sold it and never got another.
