I'm seriously considering another handgun purchase... CZ

Is this an addiction? Is it bad? Can I be helped?

Okay, I stopped by the gun store today and handled a pistol that was seemingly made for my hand: The CZ 75. Okay, maybe my hand was made for this pistol, because the pistol is older than my hand. But I've got a few questions...

The 75 full size was beautiful, and I thought I had found my perfect match... until I handled the 75 compact. However, with both of these handguns, pulling the trigger resulted in the hammer coming back further than when they were cocked (single action) already. Are there aftermarket triggers that make this pull smoother/lighter without camming the hammer back further?

Is there a version of this pistol (75 compact) that has a rail but has the safety option rather than the decocker? The only one I found on the website was a decocker model. Or (horror of horrors) do I need to buy both guns?

Finally... will slides swap back and forth? I know that there are GLOCK people out there who like this feature, swapping out uppers. Can I do it with the CZs, or is there extensive (and expensive) fitting required? (question because I want a compact gun for carry, ideally a compact frame with a rail, but would like to swap to full length slides/barrels for competition). I have hope because it is supposed to be easy to get a .22 conversion that works pretty much across the board. I'm hoping that other slides will fit too.

I promise... this will be my last pistol. Maybe.

The answer is always 'YES' if there are two choices then it would be 'YES and YES'. If you're married then divide the answers by what you can hide from the wife.

Here is one of my Tangfolio 10mms (CZ-95 clones) (I added the red fiber optic front sight):

Yes, I am married. And yes, I have been eyeing the Tanfoglio 10mm for about a year now. Is the frame any bigger (wider) than their 9mm? Is the grip any longer? Trigger reach is about max for me at the moment with the 9mm double action trigger on the CZ, so any bigger and it is going to be a SA only gun...

Great choice going with the CZ75 Compact! If I couldn't find a P01 then the Compact would have been my next choice. Tried the P07 at the same time when I bought my P01 but I just didn't like the polymer frame design as much as the grip frame dimensions of the P01.

This is the only CZ type that I own but I used to have an S&W CZ clone and from memory, I would say that it is larger in all of those dimensions than a CZ-75. It is very close in dimensions to my Sig p226's

The CZ 75 design by its nature cams. Some guns will cam more than others. Going with parts like what CGW, Cajun Gun Works, offers is worth a look. They will produce a much cleaner pull in both DA and SA. I know it is still caming but I do not notice it on my CGW 75B. CGW makes a great CZ into an amazin CZ.

IIRC you can swap slides between different size pistols. The exception is the Omega trigger models.

This is a beautiful CZ pistol.

Okay, got a .22 LR conversion, the Kadet II, for my CZ 75 compact.

It will lock the slide back when I push in the magazine in, but if I'm just holding the grip (as if shooting) it won't lock the slide back. Is this a known problem? Is there a known solution? Do I need to call up CZ-USA?

Also, how do I make the mag sit flush? Are there baseplates available to shrink this down?

Thanks!

If nobody knows, I'll start a new thread so the title is correct.
