I'm so tired of Gunbroker bidder/buyers.

Personally I don't buy guns unless I can look at and physically inspect them. While I've only sold one gun in my time I would only do so face to face and the buyer would have to answer the same questions that are on a 4473 and they must have all documents for ID. Even then if I don't like their mannerisms/body language I won't sell the gun. I like my freedom and don't plan on endangering it just to sell a gun.
don't sound like much freedom going on

I had a guy on GB want me to give him a money back warranty on the accuracy of a 65-70 year old Mossberg 42M. Yes, its very accurate, but no one can guarantee the next shooter will be able to perform as well with a nearly antique rifle. Things like this boggle the mind. I told him "NO" and he said without a warranty he would pass. I told him "please do"...:banghead:

I've bought a few on Gunbroker and I will definitely say that you need to really read the fine print.

"This item also for sale a our shop. " is a favorite as you may think the "buy now" price is fair and still end up with no gun.

The ones I cannot stand are the dealers who do not have the actual gun in their possesion but give the impression that the item is on hand. They don't always tell you that but instead quote you a shipping time frame of a week or more while they order the gun from the distributor. They recieve it and it ships to you. I found this out after calling a seller and asking a specific question about the gun I had "won" in a bid.

Still, I brought this aggravation on myself by not getting complete information prior to bidding.

Whoa...how much is shipping on that!?!

Ha.. I just paid 500 for shipping one across TX. But it can certainly go a couple grand depending on where you live. So yeah I certainly don't complain about GB shipping charges.

Never really had a BAD experience - more like a three odd experiences, all was well in the end. 17 deals. Strangely all involved Marlin Camp Guns.

1) Person (older woman) took forever (months) to ship the gun after I paid good money. Camp45 sold as near new. It was near new, but filthy inside, maybe shot 10 mags (70-80 rnds) of WWB and just put away. NICE gun. She was just slow.
2) Bought a Camp9 from a dealer FFL. Gun was advertised as GOOD shootable with little wear. Pics were too far away to see anything (lesson there!). The gun turned out to be unshootable and the barrel had been spray painted (Krylon) black! I paid a going amount so I was PISSED. I called the guy....he said his guys list the stuff etc (bull, but maybe have some truth, but he is responsible)....anyway he gave me MORE than half my money back - which I was quite happy with AND I got a project gun. Turns out the thing is now very sweet, had the barrel reblued, I replaced springs, buffer, maybe 6 other parts. LIKE new.
3) Two Camp9 mags being sold as Marlin branded mags. Huh? They weren't even S&W branded!! (Mecgar) Guy (dealer) just plain lied. I griped (bad feedback threat) and he sent me FOUR (4) S&W mags.

Everything else has been perfect and I scored some good deals.

If you do not care for the typical situation, and have other more desirable options to exercise, then QUIT participating in their program. Otherwise, people and their peculiarities are just part of the deal.
