Gravedigger56,

I'm not having a problem with water spots. You may have to rinse them more/better with water when they come out of the drum. How much Dawn per gallon are you using? Also, how are you drying them?

Don

I use a Frankford Arsenal Rotary tumbler and I put in approx. 2 Tbs of dawn. maybe I used too much since there was a LOT of suds when I finished. I'm thinking maybe a longer and better rinse also. I poured a quick couple of gallons of water through them whereas usually I rinse with a lot more. Then I always follow the rinse with some good spins in my RCBS media separator to try to expel as much water as possible before drying.

I dry the brass and pins in a dehydrator set at 110° for 30-45 minutes.

I use walnut media, and tumble / vibrate for only 2 hrs. It gets them clean enough for reloading, and with nu finish it puts a nice slick coating that goes through the dies a lot easier. I don't need them to be shinny, they will only get dirty after I shoot them again.
