It has been brought to my attention that some of the comments I have made are not suitable for these forums. I wanted to apologize to all who use this forum or who might have been offended by any thing I have said. Though it is not my intention to be rude or condescending to any of my fellow members. I am naturally crude and vulgar at times, but I know this is not the place to act in that manner, and I will not let it happen anymore no matter how strongly I feel about something. Again I'm sorry.
P.S. I hope this was the appropriate place to post this.

I'm naturally crude, too, but that didn't stop me from reading the forum rules. :)

Humans are inherently imperfect, and I'm sure THR as a whole will forgive you.

Don't worry, you aren't alone. Im sure i have made more than a couple people here pretty mad at times.

No problem. Apology accepted. I missed whatever you are asking forgiveness for. If it was the bathroom and ccw thread... I was not offended there.

I better end this 'apology accepted' because it gets confusing on what is allowed and not here.

because it gets confusing on what is allowed and not here

It's not confusing. Here is a short list of what's not allowed. Read the rules, of course, but these are the most common errors I see (except for the porn, lol) Bear in mind that I am not a moderator, but I have been around THR for awhile, so take it for what it's worth.

1. No politics. Immigration, Ron Paul, and Why Bush Sucks are all examples of politics, no matter how indirectly you relate them to guns. Zombie and SHTF threads are typically shut down too. It's not that they can't be fun, but they get out of control very quickly.

2. No potty mouth. An occasional "damn" or "hell" may slip by, but on the whole, we try to maintain a family friendly board.

3. On that topic, no porn. In point of fact, we actually do have minors on this board, and it's not appropriate under any circumstances to post stuff like that, even if it is couched in humor. I know, they can look at it other places, but that's other places, not THR.

4. Calling someone stupid in response to an argument is probably not going to fly. We are either adults or expected to act like adults, and even impassioned debate is acceptable as long as it remains civil. Look through most closed threads, and you will see that this is the cause most of the time. Well, this, massive thread veer or off-topic comments.

5. If you really have a problem with what someone said, take it to PM's. Airing dirty laundry between members in public is frowned upon and unnecessary.

Don't take it personally if you get a thread locked. If it really bugs you, PM the mod that shut you down, I guess. Better yet, keep some perspective and realize that the mods aren't trying to invalidate you as a person, or even your opinion. It is, after all, just a thread on a forum. I have had a handful of threads get locked, and not a single one of them really bothered me.

Also, keep in mind that reading what you write before you hit post helps tremendously. In real life, I curse like a sailor and tell dirty jokes with my buddies. I have a great sense of humor, and a sarcastic wit. On the internet, it is hard to express intent or context at times, so re-read your posts. What you may think was a hilarious comeback might just come off as being extremely jerky, even if that wasn't your intent. I have inadvertently done this before, and it's pretty easy to just say "hey, sorry. That didn't really come across like I wanted it too" as opposed to getting into a flame war and thread-locked over a miscommunication.

Finally, as a general guiding light, just remember that ultimately this is Oleg's house. You wouldn't scream the F word and act like a jerk if you were a guest at someone's house who doesn't condone that type of behavior, and neither should you here.

I didn't read anything you posted, but I think its cool you publicly apologized..it speaks volumes about you as a person!

You are alright in my book!

Here's the proper way to have a fit:

%$(#*! ^%$%#*&#$! Ouch! &Y%#%^$#*! :neener: Send each of us one box of our favorite ammunition, and we'll forgive you.

Okay, okay, seriously...very cool that you made a public apology. I never read any of the offensive posts, but then, don't we all from time-to-time offend. I like the saying, "To err' is human; to forgive..." Thanks for helping to keep THR, on the high road.

Ain't no thaing. I've had my wrist slapped too by Art's Grammaw.

You can't consider yourself fully patched until that ruler whacks your knuckles.

Apology accepted. It takes a big person to admit they were wrong and apologize. You can share the range with me anytime.

ok you came out a publicly appoligized....for what. after reading that noone thinks you have written anything I did a search....(how did the break in camera work???) and the only KIND of questionable posts were those of getting burglerized. And personally If I was looking for help and people were suggesting ninjas and ghosts I would become infuriated rapidly.

Let's not bite the guy's head off, he owe'd up, let's move on.

I agree with this. Some members find PMs odd and don't react well to them, but I think members should PM more often. Some of the best THR conversations I've had have been on PM, simply because its a real talk man-to-man, with no need to grand stand or worry about what other people think.

I think a lot of flame wars or junior high bickering can be avoided by PM.

Anyone who wants to PM me to discuss things anytime, the door is open. :)

Excellent and most welcome apology, RONSTAR.

dewage83 - do you think it's possible that you didn't find anything because the moderators have edited and deleted several things, and that Ronstar himself has made some edits?

Well done, RONSTAR.

BTW, If he thought he could have done better and he's big enough to come out an apologize, he's probably gone back and cleaned up after himself (or gotten a Mod to help) and there won't be anything to see.

I'm impressed. Major kudos for manning up like this.
(I saw one of the "pre-modded/edited" comments.)

Any dude that can sincerely apologize AND has a 338 Lapua on his shopping list is pretty cool.

I think we all have made a mistake at some point or another...but it says a lot, that you have publicly apologized. We're family here, the very big THR family, it's a family full of gun nuts but I love it... :D

Pasted from another forum

Sometimes being sorry does not right a wrong. However; in today’s politically correct society being sorry does seem to make being wrong alright.
