Hornady and Nosler are equally accurate for me. I give the nod to Hornady because they cost quite a bit less.

Ultimately I guess Hornady's are more accurate since I will shoot more of them. This is of course assuming that practice increases accuracy.

Nosler BT's are exceptionally accurate out of my AR. I shot them and quit looking. Never tried any others in that gun.

I use 162 gr A-Max in my 7 mag.

At least in .223, they shoot the exact same group sizes, and I use whichever one is cheaper at the time.

The last time I bought them, that happened to be Nosler.
The time before that it was Hornady.

Not only was I looking at perceived accuracy of brands, but another aspect, closely related to this point. I've used .224 55Gr V-Max and Nosler BT bullets, and tested them in several rifles, with only the bullet being different in the loads.

AR - National Match: Shot the same
AR - 24" Varmint: Shot the same
CZ 527 Varmint (.223 Rem): Shot the same
Savage 1:9 Model 12 (.223 Rem): Shot the same
Rem XR-100 (.22-250): A distinct preference for one of the two. (Won't say it may influence the poll.)

(I've used BlitzKings too, but didn't do this test with them.)

So in that case, I would consider one a winner.

i have had outstanding luck w/ the 168 a-max in 308, and have impressed myself w/ v-max's in the various 22's. the nosler ballistic tip has proven accurate in my 25's, and hornady's plastic tips have been best in my 7mm's, 270's, and 6mm's.

i have since gotten away from plastic-tips for everything except the 1000 yard 308, which still shoots the a-max, and never tried a plastic tip in 8mm or 338.

Yep. I don't think it's even worth debating if the B-Tips bullets shoot as accurately as good FBHP or BTHP bullets. I don't think they do. I suspect many would feel the same. Perhaps with the exception of the A-Max, they're usually designed with different purposes in mind, no?

In my post '64 (push feed) .30/06 Winchester M70, a 180 grain Ballistic Tip loaded ahead of 61.0 grains of RL22 will, on demand, put 5 rounds into 3/4" at 100 yards . . . which is as good as that rifle will do with match ammo.

(The rifle has been glass bedded into a B&C stock, but still wears the original 22" factory barrel, which has seen > 4000 rounds.)

Nosler Accubond (not one of your choices), 140 gr in my .284 Jamison. Unreal accuracy, and almost as good of performance on the critters as Barnes X at much lower cost.

I tried the Nosler Ballistic Tip 150 grain in my 30-06 and the groups were great. That is my number one whitetail load.

One guy mentioned the BT in his AR. I have some on hand, I think I will try those. I have not started reloading for extreme accuracy in the AR but am getting ready to give it a shot. Will see.

I've yet to find a HPBT match bullet that will shoot better out of my Savage 10FP or my 7X57 scout rifle than Nosler BT's.

I have not shot all of the ones you list here. I have not been overly impressed by NBT's. But I have been pleasantly surprised by Remington Bronze Tips.
