I live in the US and I'm wondering if I am able to import grips from France.

I have only imported handguns and handgun parts from Germany so far, so I can't speak from experience on how difficult it is to get grips out of France. I've heard it can be extremely difficult (or impossible) to get certain firearms out of France, but I'd be surprised if it were too tough to have something like grips cleared for export.

As to the rules in the U.S., you would have no problem. However, be aware that if the value of the gun parts/components you are having shipped in a single package exceeds $100 wholesale, you will need to file an ATF Form 6. See 27 C.F.R. § 447.41(c)(2).

I'm assuming you're ordering factory wood grips for a Manurhin MR73. Is that right? If so, have you tried calling Kebco to see if they already have what you want in stock over here?

Yes this is for my brand new Manurhin MR73. I already have the new factory wooden grips but this is for the vintage grips.

Yes, I figured you were probably ordering the Mulhouse-style grips. Does Kebco not have any? My MR73s are all older Mulhouse models, and I’ve never had reason to deal with Kebco, but I believe they’re the main (or only?) importer of Chapuis MR73s in the U.S. Maybe they stock some parts.

Congrats on your MR73, and good luck!

I'll reach out and ask.

I got mine from JJ Perodeau. He was very pleasant to work with.

I just bought a pair of pistol grips made in Turkey via Ebay. They were newly made, but were for the old FN 1903 pistol. There was no problem with them simply being sent by mail from Turkey.

I was too dumb to notice that they lacked a cut to accommodate the lanyard loop that all FN 1903's left the factory with. So although they look nice and were not high-priced, they cannot be used without work. That is irrelevant sh1024's question, of course.
