I would like to first say that this is not intended for teaching a new shooter (heavier pull for safety isn't an issue). I am setting it up for hunting small game. It seem to be fairly accurate with the irons, so I ordered a scope for it, and would like to improve the trigger if possible. Are there any tutorials or instructions out there?

Might ask this fellow what was done for the trigger.

Lots of things can be done to improve a trigger. If you modify parts, I always like to buy new parts and modify them, so if I negatively effect performance I can go back to where I started by putting the original parts back in.

The good news is a single shot bolt action is a fairly simple device.

I put a dab of J & B bore paste where the sear makes contact with the trigger and shot it until it felt right. Then I removed the paste. It took out all the creep which was what I was looking for.
