Can't find 4064 around here but one LGS had 4166. Is that a safe substitute?
The burn rate is near identicalCan't find 4064 around here but one LGS had 4166. Is that a safe substitute?
Your best bet is to search for that cartridge and powder combination on the Internet.
Accurate, Alliant, IMR, Nosler, and Speer all have free online data.I get that its jot identical to 4064 just wondering if I could expect similar results. The only load I had data for was with 4064 but with the above link I think I can find others
So have I.I've found it to be very similar to Varget and 4064 in my 308.
We'll be reloading for 6mm Remington. Very light bullets though, 85 grain i think. It was tough to even find a load for this gun with a bullet that light since the gun has a 1:10 twist.
I'm certainly open to any suggestions
Both pages from the Nosler book I attached are testing light Bullets 85 ish with 1-10 twist barrels. We'll be reloading for 6mm Remington. Very light bullets though, 85 grain i think. It was tough to even find a load for this gun with a bullet that light since the gun has a 1:10 twist.
