Mark W. Smith interviews (our) Larry Correia about his new book: In Defense of the Second Amendment.

Really a good interview with an interesting insight into the how and why Larry wrote the book.

I don't know about you, but I'm going to buy myself a copy!

It was a very good read and had well thought out, if a bit standard to those of us who actively advocate for less restrictive gun laws, arguments mixed in with quite a bit of Larry's, shall we say, "direct" sense of humor.

According to the interview, Larry wrote it as an essay aimed at the "fence sitters" using facts and figures and with an additional heaping helping of emotional arguments in support of 2A rights. Sounds like quite the divergence from his Monster Hunter books.

I pre-ordered mine in November and got it a week or so ago. Now I'm going to order a couple of paperback ones to loan out.

BTW, for the newer members, Larry was a moderator here until he got too busy getting rich and famous. Nobody could close a thread quite like @Correia!

I miss the quality of his writing when he was around THR more often.

Book is on my order list for when it comes out.

Looking back through the site, it appears that I joined here about the time he made his last posting.

Buddy of mine at work got me started on his MHI books back then, though. So I knew the name.

Really good book. I listened to it as an audio book while I was working (I'm a pool guy, so I can do that with headphones) the day it came out. I highly recommend all his works, but this one is special and definitely should be shared.

I'll be getting the book, too, even if only to support one of my favorite authors.

I finally got a chance to listen to the video interview above and while I absolutely love the way Larry can speak and present himself, just listening to Mark talk was...grating.

Is Larry related to John Correia? And wasn't there a Correia who was on the NRA board in the 70s and wrote articles in Shotgun News?

Could be a way more common name than I think it is.
