Or i will be..

Just pulled the trigger today on a springfield xd 45 compact and a mosin nagant 91/30 at buds gun shop. And as soon as my debit card replacement comes in, $200 in ammo at aim surplus.

Buds lets u pay with routing and checking number. Aim doesnt.

Cant wait for the call that there in. $35 total ffl fee for both isnt bad, just under $18 a piece.

And thinking abiut going through he process for a c&r license as i have quite a few old surplus guns on my list to aquire.

EDIT:

making it clear, the wife thing is a half ass joke, she knows, and doesnt care.

what? was it her turn?

either she gets a say in finances or she doesn't, this hiding and half-assed stuff is a marriage breaker ... it isn't even a gun topic, it is a basic personal finance topic.

yeah, it's kinda beat to death,
either she has a say or she doesn't
and some marriages work one way, others the other
and few in between

While I hope this isn't something that is being hidden from the wife, I assume he meant that his wife might just be upset at the "more" part of more guns...

I would like to ask where in TB you got a 17.50 transfer fee though !

Seriously, transfer fees in this area range from $35-55 and there are a ton of FFLs it's not just two shops. That combined with it being easier to build a backyard space shuttle than to get them to actually fax out their FFL means I don't buy any guns online. It's a shame.

The things I'd do for a 17.50 transfer.

Edit: Wow! I didn't even see it when I originally posted. I'm also in the TB area. Cough up that dealer :)

This is an old story. Rehashed many times.

Now Ill make ya'll envious. My wife loves guns. We are both retired and OK finacially.

Out of boredom we both got jobs at a gun store ownd by a friend of ours. 30 transfer fee is 5 for us plus a huge discount on merchandise.

Just for the record to keep you out of trouble, at least in the past, Aim Surplus has been willing to take my order over the phone and wait for a postal money order.

holy crap people. chill out. just messin round is all. she knows and doesnt care. i handle the money, as long as i dont put us in debt she is fine, was just told i have to take her out to dinner. i like food so its a good trade!

its my falt, i should have made it more clear it was a half ass joke.

as for the ffl, its family firearms in brandon. its $25, but its $10 for every gun after that as long as you pick them up togeather, even if ordered from a different place.

didnt mean to stir the pot!

thanks for the heads up indie!

This is how you do that - in trouble with the wife ;)

We've had waaayyyyy to many young married guys/gals come on and try to get support for dishonesty so you get a lot of god-uncle advice.

i understand.

though im not sure how one could ever get away with spending $800 and not get found out about, especially when theres two more guns and twice the ammo in the house. lol

at least, i couldnt. no point in trying. haha.

yea, shoulda used a smiley, i assumed it would be understood as a joke, and we all know what happends when you ASS-U-ME.

Not in trouble.... Guess you just wanted to tell the THR community that you made some purchases. Enjoy them.

yes, a store called family firearms. not much in stock, very small. but good people, very helpful, a friend has purchased a couple through them at a good price, they order it. and i use them for FFL transfers.

yes, stoked about the new guns, wife was teasing me that im in trouble, so i applied that to the thread, but i did a <removed> job of it. lol. im not actually in trouble, she was just teasing me a bit.

a half as joke icon would be useful.

my humor is often dry and/or off the wall/unusual. been married almost two years, wife is just now starting to get my jokes. lol. maybe after a year or two of membership here people will start to see it. haha!

Yea its pricey if you order one gun. Usualy i just buy local if i get just one. Two or three though i do online.

Its $25 for a transfer. But $10 a gun after that, up to 4 or 5. As long as u pick them up same day

@OP ~ You'll be in big trouble .. if she claims it as her own. :) I love Mosins and I love XDs.

@hso ~ pointblank4445@youtube (Made my day~thx)

@527 (below) ~ Seemed odd to me too. Show me the guns. I have other sites to look at girls!
