Indian Army Forces Live Human Target Training.. Insanity???

I just saw this on Indian Army facebook page. I know this breaks every safety rule, as well as rule of sanity in regards to firearms on the book. Can anyone tell me their opinions about training with your fellow soldiers holding targets on a stick while you shooting in the direction of this person??

I am wondering if this is just some type of joke or if the Indian Army Forces actually train this way. All I have to say is, Indian soldier's lives are cheap.

I'll just say that the guys in the photo aren't dressed like your average Indian Army soldier. They seem a little "special" to me. I'm not saying it's a good idea, or that I would ever do it. It seems like a psyops opportunity, "look how good our really good guys are!".
