Virginia – TThe Governor has signed S 758 which removed Switchblade Knives as illegal weapons from Virginia law. This change did not remove all knives from the list of banned knives. You can read the Virginia bill at https://lis.virginia.gov/cgi-bin/legp604.exe?221+ful+SB758ER+pdf

The USDC struck down Rhode Island's ban on stun guns because the Supreme Court did literally the same thing to Massachusetts in 2016 with Caetano v. Massachusetts.

Can't wait to see Rhode Island and all the other anti-gun states start sweating bullets (pun intended) when the decision for Bruen comes down on Thursday.

Yee haw.

honestly I have no idea how this hasn’t been struck down already. Even Washington DC, switched to “shall issue” in 2017 after they lost at the their appeal in the descriptively named “United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit” wow is that a mouth full. And the DC circuit is notorious for being one of the most liberal anti-gun circuits in the county right up their with the 9th circuit.

I remember it was reported that the attorney general of NY actually called the attorney general of DC and asked him not to appeal it to the Supreme Court because he didn’t “want him to ruin it for everyone else like with heller”

that made me laugh it’s like so you are aware what you are doing probably wouldn’t pass constitutional musters eh?
