I am looking for an inexpensive rifle rest that fits on top of a standard camera tripod. I have one, but can't remember where I bought it over 15 years ago, and it doesn't seem to have any branding on it. I am NOT looking for an expensive one that grips the rifle, like the Hog Saddle--just a hard foam rest threaded for a standard camera plate. I've been Googling for a while, but thus far have only found heavy duty (and expensive) things like the Hog Saddle. Pretty sure mine cost less than $20 way back then--rest only, not the whole tripod. I could make one, but would prefer to buy. Any suggestions?

Thanks; that's close. Here are some close-ups of what I'm looking for. I just want the foam rest head. Can't remember where I bought this one. It is made of closed cell foam. It was black originally; I attached the quick release plate and painted the head and tripod camouflage.

Of course, now that I'm looking at it closely, it would be pretty easy to cut a piece of foam to shape and glue a QR plate to the bottom of it ...

lately, i've been throwing a gamechanger bag over the top of my tripod. pretty dang steady. steadier than the vice grip stuff and 10x faster, though it requires balance
