I just could not wait to hit the range, it was cold and a bit windy, but at least the precipitation stopped and some of the ice is starting to melt.
I just had to shoot this thing.
All shots from 50 yards. Using the Iron sights I think 19 out of 20 at least hitting the paper is not too bad considering its been quite a while for me to have fired a high power rifle of any kind. My poor friend's targets were kinda bare as I don't think he appreciated the recoil and noise these things spit out. I know hes definately not had much rifle experience, so I expected this. Wow, it's quite loud. More than I expected. Im glad I'll never have to go to war with one of these
Anyhow, my handywork was from 50 yards, half off the sandbags, half standing. I had to bump the front sight over a bit and finally near the end started to hit the orange. Im hoping next trip out its sunshine and not so cold and windy as this was not the optimum day to be out there, but the temptation was just too great to go out and check it out.
Don't laugh too hard now I'll be definately doing some more practicing once I can settle down and take my time, thats the problem with something new, your too excited first go around.
Enjoy your laughter now
Makes me sick, at 50 yards I want all my holes to be in the orange
Oh well, next time out Ill figure out the sights and take my time under more optimum conditions
Poor friend just crumpled his targets up and chunked in the trash Poor guy, felt bad for him.
