Does anyone have any experience with Z Cast? I've been looking at their website and they seem to offer an equivalent product to MBC for a lower price. The only thing that is slightly troubling is the 6-8 week turn-around time (MBC recently shipped me an order in about a week).

I was happy with my order, but I wouldn't call the bullets I received equivalent to MBC. They shot just fine, but there were lots of bullets with flash/sprue and minor voids. If they shoot, they shoot, but MBC are definitely purdier.

I can echo what has been said already. I've only used the 230lrn and they have shot just as well as any 230lrn that I have loaded. My main use for a lrn bullet is for USPSA and casual shooting/plinking. I have no problem with getting acceptable accuracy off hand at 25yards with the Zcast. If I'm wanting true target loads I'll use a 200 lswc from a caster with "pretty" bullets. Honestly, for the $ and the high volume application I'm using them for the 230lrn from Zcast is hard to beat.

The turn around time on orders is slow, but I take that in consideration and stock accordingly.

Interestingly enough, Z Cast has a statement on the site that says they can make any bullet upon request. It would be nice to get some Makarov bullets that match my published data! I will leave them in my favorites for future consideration based on that alone.

I just checked out Blue Boy Bullets and they only have one or two of the bullets I am looking for at a higher price than MBC. That is probably a deal-breaker for me.

On a slight side note, there appear to be two people listed on the "About" page for Z Cast. Maybe they have expanded?

I used to stop by his house and pick up my orders to save the shipping cost. At that time he had a guy out back making bullets with him. He also had three Dillon 650's all set up for reloading. Nice guy.
