I saw this interesting rig on Ebay the other day. I guess you could call it a "quick-draw" holster for a Buck 110.
I am considering making something similar, but I have some concern that it might not hold the knife securely enough. I am also concerned that, although it would make the knife much quicker to bring into action, it might be a PITA (and a finger/shirt/jeans-slicing PITA, at that) when it comes to putting it back into the holster-thing.
I'll probably experiment with it in any case. Unfortunately, I'm away at grad school and my leather-working gear is back home.
I thought it was an cool idea, to say the least. Does anybody have experience with a design like that? If so, how do you like it?
