If you think 30 minutes is bad, you've never had to rely on the Seattle PD. I used to work at a nightclub and every saturday at midnight these worthless pieces of sh.. would break into about 6 cars in the upper parking lot and sometimes steal the car, always steal what's inside. I got tired of helping people file police reports, so I decided to watch the parking lot one night. Sure enough midnight rolls around and a gold taurus pulls up and a few men get out and start breaking into cars. I call the police, and tell them there is a robbery in progress, explain the situation, describe the car and the men.... wait... wait... wait... 30 minutes later I call back. "Sir we're dealing with shootings and stabbings and other things that take priority, you're just going to have to wait"... So I told her that I had a 12 guage in hand and if they didn't get there fast, there was going to be a shooting. She didn't like that.
Anyway, 15 more minutes pass... One of the men warns the others that the cops are coming. They all pile into the taurus and sit there. Two cruisers pull in right next to the car that I described (lisense plate and all) and talk to eachother. They don't bother the men in the taurus. Five minutes pass, and the cruisers leave.
I'm not the biggest fan of the Seattle PD anymore. That's the fastest response time I've ever gotten from them. 45 minutes. It's usually 3 hours, unless you threaten to shoot the perp.
