I have been gone since last tuesday for a friend's wedding in Vermont, here is a recap of the more interesting events...
First, I turned 21. In celebration I bought a Steyr M9. I also recieved a Ruger 10/22 from my dad.
Secondly, for the bachelor and bachelorette parties we decided to go to Montreal, canada. 7 of us in the van crossing the border from Vermont into Canada, 5 were texans. We were stopped and the van was searched. No big deal really, it happens. The funny part was when the lady searching said they have to be careful with us Texans and our loose gun laws. Doesn't she realize that Vermont allows carry without a permit and felons are allowed to have guns? I think it is funny how people stereotype texans.
Other than that nothing gun related happened. My friend got married, we traveled alot, drank alot (without any guns around), and hardly slept.I haven't gotten to shoot the steyr yet, but I shot the Ruger and I love it. Can't wait to get out to the range later this week, if the rain ever stops...
