I pick up any unfired rounds I find at my local range and salvage the brass/primer. Most of them have either light strikes or no strikes at all; however, in this case the primer had what appeared to be a good dimple. When I pulled it apart, I was surprised to find that the anvil was upside down. This is the first one that I have ever seen like this. Unfortunately, I pitched the brass into my bucket before I noticed the anvil so I cannot say who the manufacturer was (assuming it was a factory round and not a reload).

I have to wonder if it’s not a reloaded primer.
