has anybody used this liquid cleaner? what will it do differently than my tumbler? is it wothrwhile to clean in a tumbler and then in the liquid? i like my brass polished to a high luster. i have been tumbleing it, then polishing it one case at a time with simichrome. it is starting to be a pain, and expensive. i either need to find an easier / more cost effective way, or learn to live with dull brass. any info would be appreciated. thanks, d.s.

Moooose102...What kind of media are you using to tumble with. Walnut is will clean better, but not to a high luster. Corncob will clean to a high luster (especially if you add polish to it) but will not clean as well. I use a very fine ground corncob with chromium oxide and it does well by me...

Iosso works fairly well. You put the brass in a mesh bag and dunk it in a solution for a period of time and then rinse with water, and finally wait until the brass is dry. However, it will not necessarily make the brass look "factory new." Even factory ammo that sits long enough will pick up a degree of tarnish from various contaminants floating around in the air we all breath. While it may not look pretty, brass that is not shiny bright shoots just as well. I tumble brass, but the more times it is loaded the less likely it is to look like the new stuff.

i am using walnut shell with frankford arsenal polish added to it. it cleans ok, but im not real happy with it. maybe i'll buy some corn cob, add some polish to it, and double clean (once in walnut shell and then in corncob) them once to see what happens. i have not found different grades of corncob. where do i find finely ground corncob?
