Coupla days posted over in the 'smithing side & zip for takers.

Anybody have a lead to adjustable iron sights to stick on a .410/.45 Colt vent ribbed Contender?

I'm busy at working up some handloads for this 14" barrel & the stock sights fairly suck - not horrible, but some adjustable bolt-on would certainly help with the process.

TIA

Hey labgrade, been awhile...I ain't that smart...but I thought the TC came with factory adjustable sights at the breech, and folks took these off when they scoped them.

Breech I thought was drilled and tapped, so I'm guessing someone took off the original and therefore if the Original was obtained from TC -would bolt right on with no smithin'.

IIRC about 2" or so , funky looking thing...that the one you want?

According to website they are not accepting email inquires on parts. Under options they do in fact show target sights , adjustable.

Hey, I didn't need adjustable target sights when I shot the Contender with a .410...then again doubles were out of the question as well on a skeet field :D

I lie...squirrels do fall out of trees...forgot about that day using the factory irons... After the skeet birds...them don't cook too well...so the other part of range property that day provided table fare...FUN!! Tasty!!

Thanks for the TC info, sm. Will dig some there, or call 'em up to see what they have to offer.

This barrel's got a full length vent rib, bead front sight & a dove-tailed in rear buckhorn.

Actually patterns #6s & 7-1/2 s with the "choke" installed & I'm getting decent enough groups with the 45 Colt loads - enough so I think I need bettert sights to realise the potential.

Best I could do my friend.

Oh tell them on their web site clicking some links and tabs didn't work ( didn't for me anyway).
So I could not see the other options, only the G2 stuff on one page.

Good Luck!

Williams makes a set of stick on, fully adjustable sights for most vent ribs. You might want to ask them or TC.

Dave,

I've seen 'em before, but these were a side screw-on set screw deal .... just what I'm looking for, but have yet to run across it in many a search .....

Grrrr. Figure this bbl's shooting decent enough with the "junk sights" that new load development needs better sights.

Might as well anyway till the card runs out .... ;)
