I would have thought after BILL 'Monica Missiles' Clinton and Janet 'Babykiller' Reno people here would have put away a modest stock of ammo. Not saying 1000s of rounds but hey, I do have at least a couple hundred rounds for each type of round I use!
Not to long ago Wal-Mart had 400 round machinegun boxes full of 5.56 FMJ 55gr for decent prices. All you had to do was buy ONE.
And surely the more intrepid folks would have learned to reload their own ammo!

'Just in Time' works if you have time.The current shortage is as much a testament to the inflexibility of Just In Time theory as it is due to a real increase in demand.
JIT sounds great in MBA school, but I've seen entire factories shut down waiting on a guy with a box of bolts hand carried from Japan.
Just be glad it's only ammo that's in short supply.
