The MBC bullets I have are coated, thought I would try these for a Rossi mod 92 with a 20" barrel the powders I have to work with are 2400, VV n110, H-110, Lil-gun and 300 MP.
Just wondering if anyone has found favor with this bullet in a rifle.
Thanks

I would be curious to see how 180 gr. lead or coated, does for others out of a rifle, compared to 158 gr.

I don't have any 180 gr. in coated yet. I do have some 158 gr. that I plan to try with 2400.

I have tried those bullets yet but I do load the 180gr bullets from Case Performance. I use W296/H110 for handguns and Lil'Gun for rifles. That should work well with the MBC bullets too.

Years ago I loaded a lot of 180 gr. non coated bullets in .357 for a Winchester Trapper mostly with 2400 and they worked very well. They would ring a steel ram at 150 yards quite nicely with open sights. The increase of felt recoil was very small compared to the 140 gr. I had been loading.
