A Terry frisk is allowed whenever the officer feels concern for his safety. Knowing you have a gun is an articulable basis for reasonable suspicion that you might be a danger to him.
The question is moot, of course, if you're required by law to notify police when you're carrying.
Also, fwiw, I've had one interaction with an officer when I was carrying. I handed him my DL & CCW and he looked them both over, smiled & handed them back. That's how it should be.
Definitely not. But it might annoy him enough to look really hard for grounds to search. That's why playing word games is a bad idea. Anything you say is liable to give him the probable cause (or reasonable suspicion) that he wants.
