Seems like I remember seeing brass cases from 1 1/8" and 2" punt guns at the Core Sound Waterfowl Museam. IIRC they were military artillery cases cut down and adapted for the use.....but it's been a few years since I've been up there. They were several inches around and 4-5 inches long. Looked like a supersized brass 12ga hull. Nearly all the punt guns I've seen first hand were ML's though.
